Crystal Jackson talks about Pacoima's "Marilyn Monroe Connection" 

Crystal Jackson, author of the new novel, "The Marilyn Monroe Connection," recounts her father's tragic involvement with Marilyn Monroe's case in 1962 while working for the LA County Coroner. Jackson shares her mother's recollections of that "dark time," while living in Pacoima, and the inspiration for writing a novel about their story.

PacoimaStories Land of Dreams - 1965 Little League All-Star Team

One of the biggest untold stories in Pacoima sports is how a small group of Black fathers got together to launch little league baseball for their youth. During the fifties and sixties, all-white leagues in Pacoima, San Fernando, and other areas did not want Black kids to play. So, the fathers made a deal to lease land from the city of Los Angeles for one dollar, and started the league. The final result was North Valley Little League Baseball. Features former USC Football Star Anthony Davis, who was a member of that team.
